Well a simple concept: many clans offer clan libraries or other sort of information sharing methods for their members to check and share.

Usually i have seen either webpages or forums... i suppose there may be other methods available.

What i suggest is to have in the clan hallroom the possibility to buy a library (accessible at the third room of the clan house) in where clan master can upload info in "books". The idea would be for the Library to cost arround 500K and then to put info you have to buy blank books at a cost of 25K each.

Each book can contain a max of 10K words so if you want a really long guide you may need to purchase and make volumes.

As you can see, only the clan master and members that can manage the clan money can buy books but all members can contribute by sending them a PO with the text.

This can give clans a lot more of cohesion as their members share info easily than b chat. Also it efectively restricts access to only clan members.

NOTE: prices were just as example but are open to discussion also

I like the idea. In fact I really like it. However, the costs should be 2mil, and 50K, and it should be a character limit of 1024 (your post was just over that), otherwise multiple ideas could be combined into 1 book, and longer ideas are forced into multiple volumes.

But 1024 is a pretty low limit. I think about 4K characters would be a good limit.

Its small enough that you can include 2 small ideas, or 1 medium, which is where we want it. IMO

book and bookshelf costs/sizes

Books

small - 50k - 500 characters
medium - 250k - 1.5k characters
large - 500k - 3k characters

bookshelves

small - 1m - holds 10 of each book
medium - 5m - holds 15 of each book
large - 15m - holds 25 of each book.

this is just a rough idea which needs more thought.

True that this idea needs more workout, specially on the price/word limit

About the prices for the bookshelves i would like to suggest that instead of paying for a small/med/large bookshelf you shust buy a basic one that holds 10 books for 1 milion. After that you can buy extra space for 100K per extra bok so you ca just adapt the size to your needs. IMO instead of hiving larger libraries cost more it would bebetter for the shelves to be cheap (in fact they are just simple furniture) and instead having the tomes cost a bit more so the tota price of the library should be determined by the value of its books and not the value of the furniture.

Oh! I almost forgot: it would be good to have a global value of the library in the clan stats... after all information can be as valuable as an item sometimes.
